Elena Calabrese talks Camerich SF

We LOVE Mill Valley-based designer Elena Calabrese’s chic and luxurious take on modernism. She was kind enough to answer a few questions for us about what she likes about using Camerich, and her overall vibe and aesthetic!

Camerich SF: We love your work, and how bold and elegant your projects are. How does Camerich furniture fit into this process?

Elena: I like Camerich’s clean lines, European feel, yet casual vibe. The line feels very “Californian”: luxurious and sophisticated yet relatable.

CSF: Can you tell us a little bit about the project we are featuring here? About the selections, finishes, decisions, etc?

E: This is a tween girl’s lounge room (above). It was designed as a relaxed hang out space for two young girls. We loved the open bumper to keep the look modern, casual and hip.

E: I love the sectional in this project. It was a formal living room where the clients wanted to keep the space very sophisticated yet inviting. They wanted to be have a big conversational seating area.

E: One of my favorite beds to use. Love the clean and simple lines. This home was inspired by mid century design, the client loved simplicity and that everything had its place. This bedroom is so serene we love it!
